Project Runway Junior designer Ruby McAloon's first sewing machine was given to her at age 7, and 4 years later, at 11-years-old, she was hard at work designing and constructing her first pieces. A year after those garments came to fruition, she was enrolled in the Teen Fashion Design Program at the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). She's been honing her craft ever since — upping the ante with her construction techniques and keen eye for design.

In addition to her fashion pieces, she's worked extensively with her local theatre company creating costumes for many of their recent productions — including a "transforming" dress for a down and out princess that changed from rags to riches with just a twirl.

When not designing, you can find Ruby on stage — both in lead roles in the theatre, or even more recently having had the opportunity to sing with and share the stage with Rachel Platten & Pat Monahan of Train.

She is a multi-talented young woman with much more to bring to the table as she comes of age. Stay tuned!
